London, UK — The FIX Trading Community today announced that it has transitioned from FIXimate to Orchimate as its official platform for publishing and accessing the FIX Standard.
Developed by Atomic Wire Technology, Orchimate is a modern hosted platform built around the Orchestra standard, providing a richer and more extensible way to publish, explore and consume financial messaging specifications. As part of the transition, Orchimate will become the primary public access point for the FIX Standard, with future releases of the standard published directly through the platform.
The move represents the next stage in the FIX Trading Community’s programme to modernise the infrastructure supporting the FIX Standard. Building on the automated standards development process introduced through the Orchestra DSL, Orchimate provides a cloud-native publishing platform designed to evolve alongside the standard and support new ways of accessing and consuming its content.
The FIX Trading Community will become a verified publisher on Orchimate, making official FIX Standards, Recommended Practices and other Orchestra-based specifications freely available to the industry. Public specifications will be accessible to all users, reinforcing the Community’s commitment to open access and broad adoption of the FIX Standard.
Unlike previous generations of repository browsing tools, Orchimate has been designed as a hosted service that can continuously evolve. The platform provides powerful search and navigation, supports multiple protocol encodings and repository types, and offers a foundation for future capabilities that extend beyond traditional documentation.
In addition to accessing official FIX publications, organisations will be able to publish and browse their own Orchestra repositories within Orchimate. The platform also supports importing existing QuickFIX data dictionaries, allowing firms to visualise and explore proprietary message definitions alongside industry standards as they transition towards Orchestra-based specifications.
