Tom Doris, Head of Alpha Capture, Carlson Capital
Tom leads Alpha Capture at Carlson Capital and brings over 20 years of experience in tech, quant, and data science. He began his career as an R+D engineer with Intel and holds patents for his work on optimizing compilers for multicore processors. Having worked at Marshall Wace in optimizing alpha capture and quant trading, in 2011 he co-founded and was CEO of OTAS, specializing in realtime market analytics for buyside traders, and led the firm through to a successful exit in 2017. Prior to joining Carlson he spent four years as Chief Data Scientist at Liquidnet. Tom holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science specializing in Computational Neuroscience & AI.
