Giulia Pecce, Director, Head of Secondary Capital Markets and Wholesale Investor Protection Policy, AFME
Giulia joined AFME in June 2022 and is Head of Secondary Capital Markets and Wholesale Investor Protection. She runs AFME’s MiFID Steering Committee, the Investment Research Policy Group, the Retail Investment Strategy Working Group, and other ad hoc MiFID policy groups, including transaction reporting and order execution.
Before joining AFME, Giulia worked at the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for 8 years where she held various policy roles, leading on, and/or contributing to, retail and wholesale policy files.
Prior to joining the FCA, Giulia worked for an international law firm (M&A and Capital Markets) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Legislative Office).
Giulia has a law degree from Luiss Guido Carli (Rome) during which she completed a semester abroad at the University of Glasgow, School of Law, within the Erasmus Programme. She holds an LLM in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
