ACI Financial Markets Association


ACI Financial Markets Association (ACI FMA) is a global non-political, non-profit association of wholesale financial market participants. ACI FMA was established under the French Law of 1901 and based on mutual recognition of markets professionals, with the objective of developing the profession, without discrimination of any sort.

Since 1955, ACI FMA has represented the interests of individuals in professional trading, broking, operations, regulatory and compliance activities in global financial markets. Its main mission is to be a leading, global association of wholesale financial markets professionals, contributing to market development through education, best market practices, technical advice, and networking events.

AMF Italia


Italian Association of Financial Markets Intermediaries - represents the interests of Italian financial markets operators vis-à-vis Italian and EU institutions, other associations and any other public or private economic and social organisation. It is one of the pillars of the Italian financial market and a partner for all intermediaries providing investment services in Italy from all parts of the European Union, which it supports through advocacy activities, the processing of financial data and the publication of studies and research. In addition to interacting with national and European institutions within their respective regulatory processes, AMF Italia supports its members by providing regulatory and organisational advice, drafting guidelines and contractual standards and helping to develop best practices, all within the framework of a continuous dialogue with the competent authorities and the members themselves. In order to promote a correct and uniform application of the reference regulatory framework, the association also organises conferences and training activities aimed, among other things, at fostering dialogue between its members, as well as between its members and Italian and EU institutions. AMF Italia has around 60 members (banks, investment firms, Italian branches of foreign intermediaries and management companies of multilateral trading facilities) active in the primary, secondary and derivatives markets, representing more than 80% of the total volume traded on Italian regulated markets. AMF Italia also includes leading Italian and international law firms, consulting and IT solution development companies and other entities providing services to financial intermediaries.

EPTA


The European Principal Traders Association (FIA EPTA) represents Europe’s leading Principal Trading Firms. Our members are independent market makers and providers of liquidity and risk transfer for markets and end-investors across Europe. FIA EPTA works constructively with policymakers, regulators and other market stakeholders to ensure efficient, resilient and trusted financial markets in Europe.

European Venues and Intermediaries Association (EVIA)


The European Venues and Intermediaries Association [‘EVIA’] promotes and enhances the value and competitiveness of wholesale markets trading venues, platforms and arranging intermediaries. It provides members with co-ordination and a common voice to foster and promote liquid, transparent and fair markets. As a highly respected focal point for the industry, EVIA delivers a clear and certain channel of communication with central banks, governments, policy makers and regulators.

Federal Association of Securities Trading Firms (BWF)


The Bundesverband der Wertpapierfirmen e.V. (bwf) was founded in September 2003, under the then name Bundesverband der Wertpapierfirmen an den deutschen Börsen e.V., on the initiative of the previous federal associations of price brokers/financial intermediaries on the one hand and investment trading firms on the other. Since January 2004, it has continued the business of the previous federal associations. The aim of the new foundation was to create a uniform representation of the interests of German investment firms (which have also been referred to as securities institutions in the local legal framework since 2021).

The purpose of the association is to safeguard and promote the common professional interests of investment firms/institutions. The bwf represents the interests of the industry in the context of upcoming national and European regulatory, legislative and subordinate regulatory projects in the field of financial services and capital market law.

In doing so, the bwf seeks ongoing dialogue with the legislative bodies, the supervisory authorities, other banking and financial associations, the interested public and the various institutions of stock exchange and securities trading at national, European and global level.

Swedish Securities Markets Association (SSMA)


The Swedish Securities Markets Association (Swedish: Svensk Värdepappersmarknad) was founded on 15th December 1908. The Association has 23 Swedish, Nordic and Global banks, investment banks and investment firms active on the Swedish securities markets as members.

The Association’s mission is to work for sustainable and competitive Swedish securities markets. The Association has more than 50 working groups, where topics relating inter alia to equity-, derivatives- and money markets, investor protection and sustainable finance are discussed. The Association is also the owner of SwedSec Licensiering which since 2001 is responsible for the licensing of inter alia financial advisors on Swedish financial markets.
